Bitgrit runs an AI competition platform for data scientists and needed to build a Web3 community around it. The audience was narrow: data scientists interested in Web3. Bussler & Co tested Reddit, Discord, and Twitter first, then concentrated spend and effort on LinkedIn and Facebook.
In 2019, before comment-gated posts became a common tactic, Bussler & Co published LinkedIn posts offering data science resources to anyone who commented. Those posts drew over 30,000 comments and 3 million views. Parallel Facebook ads reached 440,000 people in five days on roughly $200 in spend.
The channels fed a funnel ending in Bitgrit's Telegram community, which passed 25,000 members. The audience then moved onto Bitgrit's own AI platform, and the visibility supported B2B conversations with enterprises including SoftBank.
